ColorPing is operated by Hyperion App Studio. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Hyperion App Studio (“Hyperion,” “we,” “us”) provides the ColorPing mobile application. ColorPing is an automated notification service that checks official color-line recordings and alerts you when your assigned color may have been announced. The official color line and your program’s instructions remain authoritative. You remain responsible for complying with all reporting requirements.

We collect information you give us, information created when you use the app, and limited information from service providers who help us run it.
ColorPing is currently offered as a free app. There is no in-app purchase or subscription required to use core features. If that changes later, we will update this policy and the store listings before charging.
ColorPing uses a one-time code sent to your phone or email. We do not use a password. Delivery of those codes is handled by our authentication and messaging providers.
To detect announced colors, our servers call the official color-line numbers associated with the lines we support, process the recording (for example audio and automated transcription), and store the daily result used for matching and alerts. That process does not place a call to your personal phone number.

We share information with service providers who process it on our instructions — for example cloud hosting and database services, authentication, email and SMS delivery, and the phone service used to call official color lines. They are not permitted to use your ColorPing data for their own marketing.
If you connect Ride Angels, appointment details you authorize may be sent to that app so a ride can be arranged.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect people’s safety, or in connection with a merger or transfer of the service, in which case this policy will still apply or you will be notified of changes.
ColorPing account and related data is stored on hosted infrastructure in the United States. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. The History screen shows a limited recent window of daily results; older operational records may remain on our systems for a longer period for reliability, support, or legal reasons.
If you delete your account (in the app under Settings → Account & security, or by emailing us), we delete or de-identify personal information we no longer need, unless we must retain it for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA. To exercise them, use the same email. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.
ColorPing is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required.
