Privacy Policy

Ride Angels is operated by Hyperion App Studio (sole proprietor: Devin Cooper). This policy covers the Ride Angels iOS and Android apps (org.rideangels.app) and related services.

What we collect

Account and profile

• Phone number and/or email address you use to create an account or sign in
• One-time passcodes sent by SMS or email for authentication
• Name and other profile details you enter
• Optional profile photo (camera or photo library)

Ride and circle content

• Appointment and ride details (times, pickup/destination labels, notes)
• Ride offers, assignments, and status updates (including On my way)
• Trusted-circle invites and relationships (email and/or phone you enter to invite someone)
• In-app notifications and optional Feedback & ideas posts (including screenshots you attach)

Device and notifications

• Push notification tokens (APNs / FCM) when you enable push
• Basic technical data needed to run the service (for example account IDs)

What we do not collect

• We do not track your live GPS location or sell location data
• We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs
• Device calendar events for claimed rides use OS calendar APIs and are not uploaded to Ride Angels servers as a calendar dump
• We do not send marketing SMS — SMS is for authentication codes only

How we use information

• Authenticate you and secure your account
• Operate rides, trusted circles, invites, reminders, and in-app / push notifications
• Let you Call or Text another person using your device’s phone or Messages apps (we open those apps with the number on the profile)
• Respond to support email you send us
• Comply with law where required

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your phone number or email for advertising.

SMS specifics (phone sign-in)

• Message frequency: only when you request a sign-in or verification code
• Message and data rates may apply
• Reply STOP to opt out of SMS; reply HELP for help
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages

Sharing

We share data with infrastructure providers only to run the service, for example:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and backend
• Twilio — phone OTP SMS (Twilio Verify)
• Resend — transactional email for circle invites
• Apple / Google — push delivery when you enable notifications

We do not sell personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and ride data while your account is active. Delete your account in the app: Profile → Account & Security → Delete account. Deletion removes your account access and associated personal data from our active systems, subject to limited backups and legal retention. Email [email protected] for help with deletion or a copy of your information.

Children

Ride Angels is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
